The Acorn Detective Agency is a quaint little service in the aptly named city of Rainy Oak, the bustling capital of Egera. Run by former combat medic Dr. Sebastian Chip Tejada, the Agency is a private investigative service—a necessity when crime is rampant and the police are of little to no help.
Linda Skâli is a newly-immigrated woman from Jêmsæa, an island more than half the world away. Dropping everything and moving to Halssî to escape her old, degrading job may have been a poorly-made decision, but she doesn't know how much more she could take. She turns to the Agency in her desperation, hoping maybe they can help her get her feet back on the ground. Thankfully, Linda's always been drawn to the job, her missing father being a detective himself, and the Agency could always use a new member or two.
Now, with S.C., security guard Beau Tusoriano, and receptionist Win Filcrow by her side, Linda is on the case and on a mission to do as much for the people of Mapicca as she can.
