Sebastián Chip Tejada has just graduated from the University of Medical Sciences in Kûga. And then, the unthinkable: war breaks out, and the nation of Kûga is split into two. The reason? The eastern half of the country has declared that Jêmsæa is part of Kûga's territory. The western half opposes this.
Thankful for the sudden job opportunity, S.C. enlists as a field medic for West Kûga's army. He is assigned to look after three units: a reconnaissance squad led by a certain Staff Sergeant Beauregarde Tusoriano, a small all-women peacekeeping team, and an infantry team whose operations are suspiciously classified.
Tasked with caring for these three ragtag bunches, and with the help of his medic colleagues, S.C. quickly finds himself in over his head. But things are not as simple as they seem…
